KPW is a Private Enterprise created to deliver clean drinking water to the city of Goma in the eastern Congo (DRC) and the bordering town of Gisenyi -Rwanda.

KPW is a market-based solution for clean drinking water problem. Profits made will fuel revenue growth and increase treatment capacity, giving more people access to clean drinkable water.

A monthly donation of free water will be made to vulnerable households, especially female-headed families, orphanages and organizations that help homeless people. This is a small gesture the company is willing to commit to.

Louis Gakumba

Founder & CEO
The Founder and CEO of Kivu currently works for Amazon as Operations Area Manager. Prior to that, Gakumba worked for Pinnacle Logistics as Assistant General Manager and before that, he worked at the World Bank as an Energy Consultant. Gakumba served for six years as a Defense Advisor to the Rwandan Embassy in Washington D.C. He holds bachelor degrees in Political Science and International Studies, and a master‘s degree in Peace Operations Policy from George Mason University. He is currently pursuing a second Master’s in Energy Policy and Climate at Johns Hopkins University.
